I sit down on the couch, sipping down my warm apple cider. The warm mug warmed my frosted fingers. I look over to the red headed boy, gulping his cider in oceans.
“That was fun.” Phineas says.
“Yes it was.” I reply, smiling. The fire was burning bright a hot, warming every inch of my body.
“My back’s still wet from the snow you stuffed behind my shirt.” Phineas nudges me with his elbow. “Thanks a lot.”
“Your welcome, as soon as I thank you for the snowball to the face right after!” I say giggling. We both laugh.
“It was fun though.” Phineas said. “It felt like we were kids again.”
“It did, didn’t it?” I smile. “It feels like joys of Christmas is only hours away.”
“It does.” Phineas says. “Speaking of that. What do you want for Christmas?”
“You’re really asking me that question?” I ask. “You know I’m not good at these!” I say. Even though I knew exactly what I wanted. Him.
“Still.”
“C’mon, think of at least one thing you wanted for Christmas.” He persists.
“Okay…” I think. But nothing else comes up. All I truly wanted for Christmas is really just Phineas. I check my watch.
“Dang it!” I exclaim. “I better get home, mom wants me to help with dinner.”
“Oh, well you better head along then, I don’t want Mrs. Garcia-Shapiro worrying.” Phineas smiles.
“I’ll get back to you on the present thing though.” I reassure. “I’ll see you soon Phineas!”
“Bye!” Phineas exclaims. “Say hi to Mrs. Garcia-Shapiro for me!”
“Sure will!” I head out the door and see Phineas waving from it. I walk across the street to my house. I knocked on the door and Mom opened it.
“Hey how was it?” Mom asked.
“Great!” I said. “We’ve haven’t had this much fun in a while for the both of us.”
“Well that’s great.” Mom says. “Ok, get changed and help me with dinner okay?”
“Ok.” I say. Smiling on what happened today.

A few days later, as I’m taking the bus to school, I feel someone sit with me on my seat.
“Hey Phin!” I say.
“Hey.” He greets. “So have you thought about what you want?”
“No sorry I haven’t!” I look down. “I can’t think of anything.”
“Awe man! Well let me know when you think of something, because I want to get you the greatest gift in the entire world for the greatest best friend in the world.”
“Thanks.” I smile at that, knowing that most likely it won’t be anything more than that.

During Christmas break, I got texts and messages everyday from Phineas. What I wanted most. But really, all I wanted was Phineas Flynn for Christmas.

On the late night Christmas Eve, I sit by my living room window, feeling the Christmas magic growing closer and closer. I smile to myself. I wonder what Phineas got me for Christmas?

I watch the gentle falling of snow and it falls into its blanket of white.  I see a shadow. It looked like a dog. Did Pinky get out again? I peer into the kitchen, only to see Pinky sound asleep on her cushion. I peer closer, seeing a bill and a beaver tail.
“Perry!” I exclaim. Despite my pajamas, I head outside and pick up Perry, holding him close to my chest and go back inside. I put him down as he shakes off the remaining and melting snowflakes. He goes by the couch where I was sitting previously. Did Perry get out by accident? Why is he out so late?

“Hey buddy.” I scratch the back of his head, which from Phineas, I know is his favorite place to be scratched. His head was damp from all the snow. Perry chatters as I smile. “I’ll drop you home as soon as you warm up ok?” I go to the linen closet and grab a towel and lift Perry in it and set him on my lap. I dry his fur until his fur starts to appear dry and fluffy.
“Phineas will be happy to see you all pampered and warm when I bring you back.” I say. I always have a habit of talking to things that don’t reply back, but I don’t mind it. “Has Phineas gotten me anything for Christmas Perry?” Perry responds with the same sounding chatter. I look at our clock, realizing the time. “Well we better get you home.” I begin. “Its almost midnight!”

I go upstairs and get a small blanket to keep Perry in, only to find that he followed me. I pick him up with the blanket and wrap him comfortably with it. I carry him downstairs to the door. I put my jacket and my winter boots with my hat.
“Mom! I’m heading to Phineas’ house for a little bit! Perry got lost and I’m gonna bring him back!” I inform.
“Ok Isa! Be back soon ok? Its almost midnight!” Mom says. I head out the door. I feel the gentle falling of snow onto my face. I hold Perry close, keeping him warm. Finally, I reach the front door and ring it. I hear slight thumps of the footsteps and the door opening.
“Hey Isabella!” Phineas hadn’t even gotten dressed for bed. He was still in his sweater and jeans. “Oh you found Perry!” I walk into his house and pass him to Phineas. I notice that Perry’s fallen asleep.
“You’re still not dressed for bed?” I say.
“Yeah…” He says scratching the back of his head. “Haha nice candy cane PJ’s.” I turn red at the comment. I hear Phineas’ antique grandfather clock ring. It was midnight.
“Oh no its already midnight.” I gasp. “I gotta get home. I’ll see you in the morning! Merry Christmas!”
“Wait Izzy!” Phineas grabs my hand.
“Yeah?” I say.
“Since its already technically Christmas.” He begins. “Can I give you your gift now?” So he did get me a gift...”
“Um su-

I didn’t finish what I was going to say, or remember it after it happened. I just felt a pair of lips on mine.  Phineas. Flynn. Was. Kissing. Me.  I kiss back, letting out almost years of loving him. He slowly backs away. It was over. He looks at me, smiling. He was happy.

“Merry Christmas Isabella.” I smile back, trying to hold back the tears. Finally, I say back.

“Merry Christmas Phineas.”
